The Road to ILC Aklan: Waiting and Praying
Monday! I had a very busy day. Though I still couldn’t get over what happened to my schoolmate, Rey, especially because he’s also a YFC member like myself. The semester’s about to end, summer’s arrived, and I’m excited to go to Aklan again!
The ILC is something I look forward to every year. Last year, only three of us attended, but now my entire family will be going. I”m really looking forward to experiencing God again at this conference. The past few days have not been easy at all. There have been times when I felt I no longer knew how to pray. Because of what happened to Rey, I entertained so many questions in my mind. But then I was able to talk with God and I was affirmed. He told me:
In the new Jerusalem
He will wipe every tear from our eye
and there shall be no more death, mourning, wailing or pain
for the old order had passed away.
In the same way that I am waiting for the ILC, so shall I wait for this. I am holding on to my Father God’s promise of salvation. And above all, I’m preparing my heart for this conference. I wish there were a time machine…that’s how excited I am!
Let’s pray for the safety of one another on our respective ways there, and during all our activities before.
