YFC 7 Identities

As Youth for Christ, we are being called to be and bring Christ wherever we are. This is our identity. To build oneness and commonness with our brothers and sisters and our uniqueness as individuals anchored on God’s image and likeness are one of our identities. But our ultimate identity as sons and daughters of God is to bring the youth to Christ. Our identity is the result of our innate and core values that we in YFC want to live by. The 7 identities is the fullness of who and what we are as a Youth for Christ.

Our desire to know more Christ and deepen our Christian faith for the extraordinary love and service we give to others. This identity is our expression of appreciation to the work of evangelization, formation and mission of our community, taking it in as our duty, our call and our privilege.

MODEL OF EXCELLENCE

MODEL OF EXCELLENCE

Wherever we go, we learn to be excellent in all things that we do, in our studies, service and mission. This keeps us hone our own talents and skills for greater use and purpose for God’s glory and mission. We strive to yearn for personal holiness in our journey with Christ.

CHAMPION OF THE POOR

Our duty is to love all our neighbors just like how God loved everyone. We yearn to protect the value and dignity of the poor by putting our faith into action. The longing in establishing kindhearted relationships and uphold the value of selfless giving and sharing is our identity.

In showing our love for God, we intent to give love and respect to our country. Our goal is to strengthen the value of excellence, dedication, and total commitment by making a difference in the lives of others and contribute greatly in making this world a better place for the future.

We aim in forming our brothers and sisters in YFC who will wholeheartedly minister and serve God by building the Church of the future. We continue to follow the teachings of Jesus in becoming His true followers and disciples by understanding our call and vocation, according to the plan and purpose of God in our lives.

We are taught that our families are our first mission areas. This identity keeps us grounded from who we really are as individuals and that we continue to uphold unity of God’s plan for the family and the Church. Our goal is to grow in the different stages and states of life, thus instilling the value of unconditional love and commitment to everyone surrounding us in these times- our family, our friends, our community, etc.

At the Table

Attending Mass is a must. But do we truly understand every part of it? This workshop will help us appreciate the deeper meaning behind parts of the mass. It also aims to teach us the proper responses and gestures while participating in the Eucharist.

Oasis

How we feel towards the world starts with how we feel towards ourselves. Our relationship with our own being would set the tone for our relationships with others. This workshop will guide us on how we can achieve the best version of ourselves through personal healing and acceptance, which would in turn help us love and serve other people.

Atelier

Graphic designing and layouting has been a helpful skill when we create presentations, posters, or announcements for school and community purposes. As more design apps and software emerge, designing has become more accessible for us. Feed Goals

As the digital age continuously evolves so should its content. A good compelling content has the ability to reach people around the world as long as it captures attention and creates impact. Gatekeeper

Couple Coordinators are one of the main foundations of Youth for Christ. They are keepers of the life and mission of the ministry, making sure that every generation of YFC will be able to experience and witness Christ.
